it's electric.

Rock Out, Gretsch.
...just some eye[rock]candy to begin your week [inspired by the amazing Gretsch [not pictured] spotted at the Warhol Museum Music+Dance Exhibit in Pittsburgh, mere weeks ago]. Here are some more, old + new, in no particular order ::
Brian Setzer's Gretsch

Gretsch Junior
Elvis Costello's Jazzmaster.
Danelectro, vintage.
Danelectro, vintage again.
Danelectro, Longhorn
an updated Airline, a la Jack White.
straps of varying awesomeness.
and then there is this...
Yes.
My fave badass electric-guitar-toting indie-pop rocker girl is Annie Clark, aka St. Vincent. Though she looks sweet as pie, she's capable of not only chanelling early-century-Paris-ditties, but also of some pretty brilliant electronictype riffs...

When she's not relaxing nymphishly on the forest floor, she can be found rocking out on various instruments, namely her '67 Harmony Bobcat [1 of 6ish electric guitars she owns + loves]...
Her newest album Actor + other, amazingly vibrant and delightfully moody Marry Me
are not-to-be-missed.
